Groupe Robitaille: data-driven logistics
Facing blind spots across its supply chain, Groupe Robitaille rolled out nearly 500 AgFlo sensors and became the first customer to fully integrate bin data into its own ERP.

“AgFlo is responsive, agile and quick to adapt. We have an excellent working relationship with their team: they're always there to help, they're patient, and their service is excellent. With easy installation and competitive pricing, it's a partnership that brings us real value.”

The challenge
Before AgFlo, manual inventory management created significant inefficiencies, especially at the mill:
- Limited visibility into upcoming orders made it impossible to balance drivers' workloads across the week or minimize kilometres driven per metric tonne delivered.
- Disruption from urgent orders: last-minute requests threw off planning and disrupted deliveries.
- Health and safety: monitoring stock meant producers had to climb bins or knock on them to estimate levels, a daily risk.
- Other options: load cells had been ruled out as too expensive, complex or slow to install.

The solution
Groupe Robitaille first tested AgFlo with about forty sensors for over a year, to validate the technology, the reliability of the readings and the customer service. Convinced by the results, they moved to the next stage in July 2025 with 450 additional sensors. What tipped the scale in AgFlo's favor:
- Non-intrusive installation: no bin modifications required, whether on their own farms or their contract producers'.
- Value for money: AgFlo's total cost of ownership (TCO) proved extremely competitive against other technologies on the market.
- Connecting bin data to the ERP: Groupe Robitaille was the first AgFlo customer to fully integrate bin data into its enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, bringing feed inventory information directly into the software its teams already use.

The results
The impact: operations driven by data
Today, AgFlo's integration has a measurable impact on the Group's supply chain:
- Improved transport KPIs: km/tonne, cost/tonne, delivery cost/hour and percentage of full loads.
- Production continuity: fewer rush orders and no more empty bins, so animals never run short of feed.
- A path to automation: a gradual shift to automatic ordering, with a target of 40% of the Group's own farms by the end of 2026.
An evolving technology partnership
This partnership helps Groupe Robitaille bring its long-term vision of performance and efficiency to life. As sensor deployment continues across their network, it's the quality of the collaboration that drives the success of this digital transition. The Group has found in AgFlo a partner able to adapt quickly to the realities of a complex supply chain.
